I'm reaching back through the mists of some years here. I think I met you, Harriet, then Adam, through a mutual friend in 2014, and that our first encounter was because you asked for an astrology reading. The reading happened at your place. At that time, La Paz del Cielo. A place with an earthy charisma that drew me in easily.
You waved me in from the second floor balcony to a space that was thoughtfully organized, and then I found that you reorganizeyour space almost daily. So I had an early sense you are someone who loves being at the nexus of things, acting as the moving center of something complex that has a lot of working parts. Yet you are also a creative player behind the scenes. I began to see then you are a paradox of creativity and a drive to organize and always remodel your own creation. It felt just a hair intimidating as I attempted to describe to you what I saw. You didn't seem surprised by what I said though.
I remember saying I see your main work as a communicator, a writer in fact. You began to speak about about desire to create a book. So I realized you and I have this desire in common. And after nine years of following the book's process, it is an inmeasurable joy to watch it come into being (accidental pun, honest). And to see it have a life of its own as stories get added.
That was the first chapter of knowing you. Along the way I find myself often in your yoga classes, and in the women's chakra group and meeting with impromptu groups for coffee and tea. Really there is more to say than will fit here. I need to add this. Lately said you are standing in this unsettling place where you've finished what feels to her like your major life's work (as the founder and a parent of the Align Spa in Park City), you wonder what on earth to do next. An uncomfortable mysterious moment, only gradually knowing what will be via the interesting and imprecise work of trying out what comes into your field of vision. You may be still becoming aware of the power of your work to nurture groups of people. There is a great synergy and magic in the work you do when you energize groups and create spaces for the group process and its energy. I see that as the core and the of your work. It is a hard thing to define, but it truly is a talent and a magic power, to catch the energy with sensitivity and help it grow. I hope to be here to watch it all happen.
